3 Bedroom Villa in Porters

Ideally situated on the luxurious West Coast of Barbados, Ridgecot House is close to superb restaurants and white coral sand beaches.
The three bedrooms each have air-conditioning and ceiling fans, together with en-suite bathrooms. The Master bedroom has a king sized four poster bed, the second a fabulous hand-carved king sized bed, whilst the third has two single beds.
The spectacular living room has a double-height vaulted ceiling and polished oak floors. Bifolding doors open up to a spacious terrace, ideal for al fresco dining around its large marble table. Steps from the terrace lead to the private 24ft pool and tropical gardens.
The private driveway at the front of the house is accessed from the road via electric gates and provides ample parking for several cars.
Full membership of the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Beach Club (situated a short 2 minute walk away) is complementary to all Ridgecot guests. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available here free of charge and a range of watersports can be arranged by the ever-helpful Beach Club staff. Membership benefits also include 10% discount at the hotel restaurants and bars.
Our housekeeper, Juliet, attends the property 3 days a week, with the garden and pool looked after by Kevin on his 2 days a week.
A complimentary grocery pack is provided to guests on arrival.
The Barbados Revenue Authority charges a 10% Levy on vacation rentals. This is included in the prices quoted to you.

Summary: Our family of 6 spent Xmas and New Year’s at Ridgecot House and had a fantastic stay. The hosts were kind enough to help us get groceries delivered before the shops shut for the holidays. The Villa is roomy and elegantly decorated, the landscaping is lovely with a great covered outdoor terrace where we had most of our meals. The pool area gets lots of sun and is very relaxing. Truly 10 out of 10

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Porters. The close proximity to the beach was a draw, but with the intermittent showers that were experienced the property pool was an excellent alternative. It provided all that we needed to manage the rain drops.

Summary: The villa was just as I expected from reading the description before booking and previous reviews. There is a lot on offer for a reasonable price and I would definitely book again (already checked for next year but someone’s beating me to it).

Summary: I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. The property owner provided a fantastic contact to arrange airport pick up and drop off and everything went smoothly. The property manager was always accessible if we had any questions. The house is spacious and perfectly located across the street from a wonderful resort and the beach. Guest access to the resort and amenities were provided with the property rental (thank you!) and we enjoyed relaxing at the resort almost every day. The house was very well maintained and cleaning service provided by the housekeeper much appreciated. There are several great places to eat within walking distance and transportation when a taxi was needed was a breeze. My friends and I stayed for a week and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy all Barbados has to offer. This property is definitely a place I would like to stay during my next visit!

Summary: First impressions were excellent and continued throughout our stay. House and gardens were immaculately presented and everything had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Difficult to find anything negative, I guess the pool is fairly small if you intend to use it for exercise (we didn’t), otherwise the garden/pool space is beautiful and we spent many hours in the outside covered area. Nikki the housekeeper was excellent and she kept the place spotless. We had a few problems with air conditioning in the last 48 hours which was just unfortunate and can’t blame anyone. Certainly wouldn’t put us off returning. If you want a great house in the perfect location for the West coast then don’t hesitate to book this, you won’t be disappointed.

Summary: A lovely well kept property. Walking distance to the beach club where you can use the sun beds at the Fairmont. Ideally need a car to make the most of your stay on the island. Holetown is a 20-25 minute walk and part of the walk there are no footpaths. Kevin the gardener and Nikki the housekeeper are both lovely and friendly and go about their work in happy friendly way. I would certainly recommend Ridgecot House.
